Artist's Description

A cabin sits abandoned surrounded by Rhododendrum and an early snow in the mountains of Tennessee in this digitally enhanced original photograph by Rebecca Korpita titled Rhododendrum and Ruins. This was taken in the area of Elkmont in the Smoky Mountains where family cabins were abandoned as their leases expired when the Park Service took over the area and it became part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
