This was taken in the area of Elkmont in the Smoky Mountains where family cabins were abandoned as their leases expired when the Park Service took over the area and it became part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Rebecca Korpita is an artist living on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast. Her artwork and illustrations reside in collections worldwide, appears on book covers, in magazines and are licensed on home goods and accessories. She is inspired by the coastal area in which she lives - the beach, the people, the lifestyle, the culture, old things and quirky things.
