Artist's Description
This is an original photograph of a wonderful old worn hand painted sign advertising Vine Ripened Tomatoes, home grown - for sale at first house taken by Rebecca Korpita. Below the sign is a cut out of a hand pointing to the first house on the left.
The sentimental value of this sign is that this was painted by her father E.L.(Lynn) Stringer many years ago and advertised the wonderful tomatoes that he and her mother grew. Both of her parents are long gone but the sign remains to remind of happy, carefree, childhood days of tomato sandwiches and when the worst that could happen to a teenager would be to have to pick an overabundance of those tomatoes.
